I spent over 10 years working directly in commercial and SBA lending - originating loans, structuring transactions, and working alongside credit officers responsible for loan approval decisions at regional and national banks. My background includes working alongside sales teams, portfolio management, and hands-on involvement across a wide range of business financing transactions and industries.
During that time, I observed a persistent gap: Borrowers often lacked access to informed guidance on deal structure, lender selection, and positioning strategy. Most intermediaries functioned as transaction brokers rather than advisors, prioritizing speed and volume over structural soundness and lender alignment.
